On another day, we get to walk via the interesting semi-deserted to Kagbeni and Jomsom, thus ending our trip. From Jomsom, we fly to Pokhara and back to Kathmandu.

Jomsom to Pokhara: You can get a local bus to Pokhara from Jomsom, but the local buses are noisy and very slow. Sharing a Jeep is a good and affordable option for tourists in small groups and booking a full Jeep for larger groups. However, a 25-minute flight from Jomsom to Pokhara in the morning is a better option if you want to avoid a bumpy road and a long trip.

The initial day of the Annapurna Circuit 10 days starts with a long drive. From Kathmandu, we hop on a tourist bus that takes us to Besisahar. Throughout the day, we drive along the river banks and witness beautiful views of the hills. From Basishar, we take another Jeep sharing to Chame. The road from Besishar to Chame is under construction and very bumpy but equally exciting.

From Chame, we climb for about 600 meters to reach Upper Pisang on the second day of our Annapurna Circuit 10 days. Our first stop for the day is called Talekhu, which is only about 100m in height from Chamne. From here, we hiked for two more hours to reach Dhukurpakhar via Bratan, which was our last stop before we reached Upper Pisang. In total, this is a 6-hour hike to the beautiful Upper Pisang.

Today, we walk for about 9.6 kms, which will take about 5 hours in total. As we leave Manang, we will set up on a steep hike to Ghyaru (3695 m) and then to Ngawal (3669 m). Now, the mountains appear to be close and beautiful before we Hike to Munchi. A final walk takes us to Manang via Braga. Manang Bazaar is an interesting high-altitude market with many shops and hotels.

As we are already close to 4000 meters above sea level, we must have a rest day. The smooth landscape and multiple markets of Manang make it an ideal place for acclimatisation. You can take a rest day in Manang by hiking in the nearby hills and exploring the market and Museum here. From now on Annapurna Circuit 10 days altitude will get higher, and the trek will get rougher, so we will only hike in the morning for about 4 hours. From Manang, we will first hike to the place called Tengi. It’s only a few more kms before you reach Ghunsang, finally at Yak Kharka. Here, some people go for an acclimatization hike to Ledar, but you can rest in your guest house, too.

Ready for the biggest day of Annapurna Circuit trek 10? Today, we gain about 900m in altitude to cross the huge pass of Thorong La and walk steeply down to Muktinath. In the early morning, we first walk to the Thorang High Camp at 4884 m and rest there for a while. Then, a final steep climb leads us to the Thorong La Pass at 5400 m. Often covered in snow, this part of the trip is quite dangerous, so be careful. From the top, you can witness a beautiful, extensive view of the entire Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range. It’s beautiful.

Then, we start to walk down, first to Chambar Bhir at 4200 m and then finally to Muktinath, the second semi-desert land of Annapurna Circuit trek 10 days we visit on this trip.

You have the entire day to stroll around Lakeside, boating and sightseeing around the stunning Pokhara valley.
