Our Tamur River Rafting packages combine the allure of trekking with the thrill of whitewater rafting into one exclusive package. Tamur RiverRafting is a complete world-class adventure package. Of all the rafting excursions we offer, the Tamur River Rafting proves to be the most exciting. The rapids run from Class IV and even Class V at certain points. You are sure to get splashed on this once-in-a-lifetime thrill ride.

Tamur River is in far-east Nepal, near Kanchenjunga (8586 meters / 28,169 feet), the third-highest mountain in the world. The journey begins with a four-day trek through the foothills of the Himalayas. Because the river takes some time getting to, it is scarcely populated by tourists. You will feel like you are hiking and floating through unspoiled land. During the trek, feast your eyes on the tallest mountains in the world, including Kanchenjunga, Makalu, and Mount Everest. The colossal peaks soaring above the clouds will blow your mind. Then, we drop into the lush Tamur Valley and hop in the rafts.

Sail down the frigid mountain waters down big drops and chutes. Five days and four nights of rafting will take you through lush valleys, remote villages, and dense forests. Take a dip in the river after a long, hot day. All meals are provided, and our experienced chef makes an especially delicious dinner for us on the shore of the Tamur river. Each night, we will sleep in a tent under the stars. Sleeping in a tent near the foot of the Himalayas is a real treat. Few adventures compare to trekking in the presence of the world’s tallest mountains and rafting through thrilling rapids.

On our final day, we raft a bit further. Our ride awaits in Chatara, and we drive back to Kathmandu. Do note that there are numerous ways to extend this adventure. Combine our Tamur River Rafting trip with paragliding, bungee jumping, jungle safari, and/or a trek. Many people end their Kanchenjunga region treks with this refreshing trip. Let us know your interests and we will manage the perfect combination package for you!

Our trained guides have experience on the Tamur River Rafting and are familiar with the rapids. They will help you feel safe and comfortable, facilitating what will be one of the most memorable trips of your life!
